Operation and radiation protection

In protecting against radiation, the biggest problem for staff is the bottom-up scatter radiation. Most of the scatter radiation passes through the patient's body tissues. The flexible panel curtain is perfectly positioned at the patient's body level. When placed in place, it prevents a significant part of the patient's body from being exposed to scatter radiation. At the same time, the gap between the shield and the patient's body surface closes. Measurements and simulations have shown that this may lead to a dose reduction of up to 85% for the factor. The effect on the assistant is similar. The radiation shields placed on top of the patient with panels increase protection. Each panel is designed specifically for its use.
