UV light skin examination [Wood's Light]

IDS-3100 has 3 options in UV light.

a. 4 x 405nm UV-LED
b. 2 x 395nm UV-LED
c. [2 x 395 nm] + [4 x 405 nm] UV-LED

UV light is used to detect skin

Bacterial or fungal skin infections,
Pigmented and hypopigmented skin lesions including melisma and vitiligo
Determination of the location of the melanin pigment (epidermis and dermis)

IDS-3100 is a new UV Light Magnifier concept that compensates for the disadvantages of a traditional wood lamp. In addition, its powerful UV-LED and specially designed lens coating provide an excellent UV fluorescence image.

White light skin examination

The IDS-3100 has two options in white light.

a. Cross polarized light (polarised light)
b. Parallel polarised light (non-polarised light)

Skin examination for cross-polarized light is used for detection

Actinic keratosis,
Non-melanoma skin cancers and
Melanoma

by reducing skin surface reflections. It allows for rapid examination of pigmented skin lesions prior to careful analysis with dermatoscope.

The specially designed aspheric lens reduces spherical and optical deviations and provides a clear image of min. distortion.
