Polarized to a non-polarised (or inverted) space can be manually replaced by turning the cone hood (light mode switch).

Non-polarised mode: 12 noon

Unlike the IDS-1100 dermatoscope, the IDS-1000 series is glued to a cone hood. There are three types of cone hood.

Open lid (without contact disc)
On touch disc (no scale)
Shape on contact disc

Smart phones and camera

The only difference between "IDS-1000" and "IDS-1000Plus" is the compatibility between smartphone and camera. Dermatoscope IDS-1000Plus offers a compatible smartphone, mirror-free and compact camera. Use your smartphone to observe and photograph general skin lesions, which are not complex. If you need more detailed observations, use the camera to get dedicated and accurate images. Note: compatible mirror-free cameras are Canon, Sony and Nikon.
