Optical design
Optical lens design is a process in which the lens is designed to meet performance requirements and limitations, including costs and manufacturing limitations.
Parameters are the radius of the surface, the distance to the next surface, the type of material and selective tilt and removal of the centre, and the types of surface profile (spherical, aspherical, hologram, diffraction, etc.). In addition, it is a computatively intensive process of modelling how the lens affects the light passing through it. Optical design therefore requires technical skills acquired through professional skills and rich experience.
