Filter

Filter

The optical filter is an optical component that selectively emits light in a given wavelength range, namely colors, and absorbs the rest. In general, an optical filter selectively emits only long (long) or short wavelength (short circuit) or prevents both long and short wavelength through the wavelength band (bandwidth).

Optical filters are used for cameras, various optical devices and color lighting, as well as for astronomy to limit light transfer to an interesting spectrum band, and are necessary for fluorescence applications such as fluorescence microscopy and fluorescence spectroscopy.

ILLUCO produces a wide range of filters from simple coloured glass filters to narrow strip emission filters with strong coatings.
